A meeting of the Hash Hierarchy was held yesterday and the new poo-bah Grand Master – WETCHEK – has come up with a cunning punt of an interesting programme – he wishes to have a more entertaining Hash to try and encourage newcomers to join us in our usual Monday mayhem. There must be heaps of folk out there who are not aware of the Hash and its traditions – so start recruiting!!

 1.      HARES Information – we have a new source of refreshment – Don & Donna of the Saloon / Old Warhorse Brewery can supply a 50 litre keg of Boots Beer for approximately Vt 25,000 (equivalent to the cost of Tusker) – if you wish to take up this offer please give at least 2 days notice on  77 43920. Happy supping!!

 2.      XMAS BASH – finalised date is Thursday 17^th December at Nambawan Coffee Shop at 6.30pm onwards – Sphincter will provide a range of scrumptious pizzas, Hash will provide liquid refreshments all at a cost of only Vt 2,000 per head. Wear something Xmassy. Give numbers on Monday.

3.      LADIES NIGHT – a Ladies night – dinner ++++ is proposed for late August / early September – venue to be decided. 

4.      SPONSORS – our Hash shirts cost are usually met by sponsors contributions – there are some outstanding!! If you feel a little bit guilty about it pay Swallow a.s.a.p. New sponsors will be most welcome – only   Vt 5,000 to have your company logo worn with pride around the locality.

5.      HASH POLO SHIRT – it is proposed that we have a club shirt – polo style with our logo on the breast pocket – for you Ozzies out there this means a shirt with a collar – we are checking on sources and costs. Once finalised orders for specific sizes will be taken.

 6.      FUN RUNS – various themes for fun runs were considered and likely forthcoming events will be:

 ·         Mad Hatters run

·         Full Moon run

·         Nationality run etc., etc

All or any other suggestions welcomed.

7.      OCTOPUSSY’s Run – That wee Scottish lassie will be setting a run before the end of the year and, she who must be obeyed, has come up with a theme of Vicars and Tart(an)s run. Be prepared!!!
